Introducing the CYMRU SUDU 2026/28 Home Kit and the campaign woven around it.

Every kit tells a story. This one tells anation's. To mark the first chapter of the new partnership between the Football Association of Wales and SUDU, we didn't reach for a template,we reached for the loom: a shirt built from Welsh heritage, and a campaign written as a love letter to the country that wears it.

One jersey. Un Crys. One nation. Un Cymru.

The Kit
A story of heritage, told authentically

The 2026-28 CymruSUDU Home Kit is the firstkit by SUDU, arriving alongside the launch of the all-new Official Wales Football Store. A year in the making, it was shaped by the FAW and first-team players across both the men's and women's squads, through design workshops and fit sessions, the players themselves defined the fit, look and feel of a genuinely performance-led design.

Authenticity is everything to SUDU. Rejecting templated, reused designs, the brand works hand in hand with the association and its fans to bring the DNA of the nation to life. Here, that story is heritage. Working with Amgueddfa Cymru - Museum Wales, the design team studied the age-old craft of Welsh double cloth weaving, drawing on archival pieces to create a bespoke tapestry pattern - embossed in the pro kit and rendered in a statement shade of iconic Welsh red.

The detail carries it. A scroll on the back reads 'Gorau Chwarae Cyd Chwarae' - 'Best Play is Team Play' - a principle stitched into Welsh football. Coordinated shorts and socks complete the look, with engineered, moisture-wicking fabrics built to work with the player.

Different threads. One jersey. One nation.

The Campaign

The Thread That Leads Us Home

Wales is no monolith; it is a masterpiece of assembly. The Thread That Leads Us Homethreads the ancient craft of patchwork quilting through the modern roar of The Red Wall, disparate scraps bound into a single story, uniting the peaks of Eryri, the docks of Swansea and the pulse of Cardiff.

Holding every stitch together is Hiraeth - reclaimed for the modern era, not as sombre, nostalgic longing but as triumphant belonging: the unbreakable tie between every supporter, the crest and each other. It'sthe magnetic pull of the red shirt, the feeling of home the moment the dragon sits on the chest, made visible in a red thread winding through the streets, shoresand landscapes of the country.

That heritage ran through the shoot itself. Amgueddfa Cymru - Museum Wales loaned archival tapestry blankets, patchwork bedcover and a very special 1950s National Eisteddfod chair as backdrops, and opened up St Fagans National Museum of History as the story's home: Gwalia Stores, Kennixton,, Oakdale Workmen’s Institute and Llys Llywelyn, centre stage for the kit reveal in our hero film.

Y Wal Goch

The stars of the story

A love letter to Wales could only ever be written by the people who live it. So, the debut Cymru SUDU Home Kit doesn't star models - it stars supporters.

Working with FAW Supporter Groups from across The Red Wall, including Amar Cymru, Her GameToo, Wal Goch y Menywod, SUDU invited Cymru fans and members of Y Wal Goch to contribute to an "undisclosed piece of content" to celebrate the national teams. Little did they know, they were the stars of the debut Cymru SUDU Home Kit.

Each arrived with their favourite moment and memory of being a fan, in their own words, captured over the course of the shoot. A genuine collaboration with Cymru supporters, bringing real stories and journeys to life and letting the full spectrum of modern Wales speak for itself.

Their individual stories will be shared here soon. For now, meet the cast.
